Workshop Description:

Twitter bots have many faces: watchdogs; meme factories; generative art; idea machines. In this hands-on session we’ll discuss different kinds of Twitter bots and their uses and abuses, then get to bot creation using a tool called Cheap Bots, Done Quick! Consider this a creative writing exercise—no code experience required.

Presenter's Bio

Bea Malsky is a programmer, curator, and zinemonger based in Chicago. She’s currently a developer at DataMade and the co-founder of Build Coffee. She graduated from UChicago in 2015, where she wrote a sociology thesis on casual games and was the editor-in-chief of the South Side Weekly.
